PCB announce revised schedule for Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024

The four-day tournament, which will conclude on 19 December, will feature 18 teams representing 16 regions across the country

Pakistan’s premier first-class cricket tournament, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, is set to commence on 26 October, marking the start of the nation’s most prestigious domestic competition. The four-day tournament, which will conclude on 19 December, will feature 18 teams representing 16 regions across the country.

The participating teams include Abbottabad Region, AJK Region, Bahawalpur Region, Dera Murad Jamali Region, Faisalabad Region, FATA Region, Hyderabad Region, Islamabad Region, Karachi Region Blues, Karachi Region Whites, Lahore Region Whites, Lahore Region Blues, Larkana Region, Multan Region, Peshawar Region, Quetta Region, Rawalpindi Region, and Sialkot Region.

This year, Karachi Region Whites will defend their title after a stunning victory over Faisalabad Region in the 2023 final, where Sarfaraz Ahmed’s side triumphed by a massive 456 runs at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Abdullah Khurram Niazi, Director of Domestic Cricket Operations, expressed excitement ahead of the tournament, emphasizing the importance of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for nurturing cricket talent in Pakistan.

“Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is the pinnacle of domestic cricket in Pakistan as it is not just a tournament but also an event that showcases the immense talent across the country and prepares them for the challenges of international cricket.
