Pakistan Shaheens’ captain, Mohammad Haris, has made a sensational revelation about his team’s upcoming match against India A in the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup on October 19th.
Haris has disclosed discussions about their upcoming match against the arch-rivals are strictly prohibited in the team’s dressing room. The captain explained that the purpose of the ban is to prevent players from feeling added pressure before the highly anticipated match.
“Talking about India is off-limits in the dressing room. Players tend to feel pressure when they think about facing India, and we don’t want to create unnecessary stress,” Haris said.
The wicket-keeper is banking on his latest experience in the leadership role during the Champions One-Day Cup to keep pressure off his team.
He also stressed that the Pakistan Shaheens are focused on all their opponents, not just India, and that they have specific strategies for each.
“Our preparations are going well. We’re not just concentrating on India, but also on key matches against teams like Oman and the UAE,” Haris added.
The Pakistan Shaheens will play Oman on October 21 before taking on UAE on October 23 in their final group match. The top two teams from each group will move on to the semi-finals on October 25, with the final scheduled for October 27.
