Young Pakistani Footballer Moves to Basford United on Loan

Young Pakistani forward, McKeal Abdullah has moved on loan to English Northern Premier League club Basford United as part of a double loan move alongside teammate Taylor Anderson from League One club Mansfield Town.

McKeal and Taylor are currently part of Mansfield Town’s U21 team, which is overseen by former Basford Manager and Director of Football Steve Chettle.

Both players have also featured in matches for the senior team of Mansfield Town this season, with their latest appearance being against Bradford City in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Both Mansfield Town and Basford United are based in the English county of Nottingham, where McKeal Abdullah was also born.

The loan is set to last till January 1st, 2025, with Basford United looking to utilize their new loan signings immediately against Hanley Town in the Isuzu FA Trophy fixture set to take place later today.

At 19 years old, Abdullah has already made his debut for Pakistan On 6 June 2024, in the FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Saudi Arabia, coming on as a substitute in added time.

The young forward will hope the loan move provides him with additional playing time so that he may be able to develop his skills at a faster rate.
